Jaw-Flex coupling with spacer for shafts apart. Allows axial motor removal without moving the pump. Complies with API 610 / API 671 standards for process applications.
The RRS spacer meets the requirements of process pumps (API 610) — axial motor removal without touching the pump.
The spacer frees sufficient space between the shafts to allow axial removal of the motor or pump impeller without moving the pump or breaking piping. Standard on API 610 pumps.
The RRS is dimensioned to meet API 610 (process pumps) and API 671 (special service couplings) requirements — aerospace quality for petrochemistry / oil & gas applications.
The RRS retains the SW split spider element: maintenance without disassembly, secure fail-safe mode, choice of material (rubber / PU / Hytrel).

The RRS spacer elastic coupling is the spacer version of the SW coupling. It incorporates a standard spacer of 90, 100, 140 or 180 mm between the two hubs, allowing axial motor removal without moving the pump.
This feature, known as "back pull-out", is required by the API 610 standard governing centrifugal process pumps for petrochemical, refinery and oil & gas industries. The RRS also complies with the API 671 standard dedicated to special service couplings.
The RRS retains the split spider qualities of the SW series: maintenance without motor disassembly, secure fail-safe mode in case of spider wear, and choice of elastic element material according to the constraint (synthetic rubber, polyurethane, Hytrel).
